Microscope treatments

  • What are the advantages of using a microscope in modern dentistry?

With the aid of a microscope dental procedures can be done with greater accuracy using adjustable optical enhancement and a shadowless image thanks to a direct light source projected via fiber optics.
Generally optical enhancement can be between 4x and 24x thus ensuring a wide diagnostics range thanks to improved visibility. For example, a lot of fisure cavitiesand microfractures are invisible to the naked eye.
With the help of a microscope it can be seen clearly inside the tooth, right through to the tip of the root.

It can be used in most dental procedures: cavity treatment, prosthetics but is especially used in pulp disease (removal of the nerve and root canal obturation) the advantage being the preciseness in treatment.
Thus possible after-effects are eliminated, which ensures the durability of treatment in time.
